Dear Civic Society Member,
As mentioned on several previous occasions we are short of members to join the committee. This inevitably means that the people who form the present one have to take on additional responsibilities to ensure the well being & continuity of the Society.
This situation has recently been compounded by the sad loss of our treasurer Michael Driver, a separate appeal for his replacement is in the accompanying newsletter

We also need to fill the post of V.Chairman and to find extra members to bring the committee up to full strength.

Looking ahead to the AGM in November we know two committee members are due to relinquish their positions; and I shall be finishing my stated time as Chairman. The future continuation of the Society will be very much in question if we fail to recruit willing volunteers to maintain a viable committee to prevent the demise of the Civic Society and with it exciting plans for the future.
I am appealing to anyone who is prepared to consider joining to give it serious thought. Please ring me on 839605, or any committee member listed on the membership card, to discuss committee affairs & what is involved. That way you can make a more considered decision about taking part.
